Terms of Service

By accessing or using SolderHub at solderhub.com and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

• Content — Projects, tutorials, schematics, code, images, YouTube embeds, articles, and other materials on the Service
• User Content / Creator Content — Content you submit, publish, or share through the Service
• Creator — Any person who submits a project, article, or YouTube video link to SolderHub
• We / us — SolderHub and its operators

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should use SolderHub only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and notify us promptly at support@solderhub.com of unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

SolderHub deeply respects the rights of content creators. The following applies to all creators who submit content to our platform:

• You retain full ownership — Creators retain 100% ownership of their projects, articles, code, schematics, and YouTube videos at all times. Submitting to SolderHub does not transfer ownership.
• License granted to us — By submitting content, you grant SolderHub a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, host, and promote your content on our platform for the purpose of showcasing your work to the electronics community.
• YouTube videos— We embed YouTube videos using YouTube's official iframe embed API only. We never download, copy, re-upload, or host your videos. Your video remains on YouTube's servers and all views count toward your YouTube channel analytics.
• Full credit always — Your name, channel name, and links are always displayed prominently alongside your content. We will never publish your content without attribution.
• Right to removal — You may request removal of your content at any time by emailing contact@solderhub.com. We will remove your content within 7 business days of a verified request, no questions asked.
• No commercial exploitation — We will not sell, license, or commercially exploit your content to third parties without your written consent.
• Voluntary submission — All creator submissions are voluntary. There is no obligation to submit, and there is no fee charged to creators.

SolderHub stores data in compliance with applicable Indian and international laws:

• India DPDPA 2023— We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
• GDPR principles — For international users, we follow GDPR-aligned data minimization, purpose limitation, and data subject rights principles.
• IT Act 2000— We comply with India's Information Technology Act 2000.
• Infrastructure — Data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) and Vercel, both of which maintain industry- standard security certifications.
• No unauthorized sharing — We do not share, sell, or transfer your personal data to unauthorized third parties.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, educational, or internal business purposes. You may not scrape, reverse engineer, resell access, or use automated means to extract data at scale without our prior written consent.

You agree not to:

• Upload malware, exploits, or instructions intended to harm systems or people
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, or sexually exploitative of minors
• Circumvent access controls or probe systems without authorization
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or deceptive commercial schemes
• Submit content you do not own or have rights to publish

The Service integrates third-party tools including Wokwi (simulation), YouTube (video embedding), Vercel Analytics, and Supabase (database). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party availability, accuracy, or data practices.

The SolderHub name, logo, site design, and original Content we create are protected by intellectual property laws. Community and creator Content remains owned by respective creators as stated in Section 5.

Important: Electronics projects involve real-world risk including electric shock, fire, and injury. Simulations and tutorials are for educational purposes only. Always follow manufacturer datasheets, local electrical codes, and appropriate safety practices. You assume all risk when building hardware based on Content from the Service.

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLDERHUB AND ITS TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO INR 5,000 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your data. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms. Creator content removal requests are always honored within 7 business days.

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated by email or site notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Before filing a formal dispute, contact support@solderhub.com for good-faith resolution (30 days).
