Editorial Policy

Our goal is to publish electronics guidance that is useful, understandable, reproducible, and honest about what has—and has not—been verified.

What we publish

SolderHub publishes electronics tutorials, component references, board guides, projects, and simulator resources for students, hobbyists, makers, and engineers. We aim to explain why a circuit works, not only provide steps to copy.

Research and technical checks

When preparing technical material, we use relevant manufacturer datasheets, official board documentation, library documentation, and other primary references where available. We pay particular attention to board variants, pin names, operating voltage, current limits, interface requirements, and software or library versions.

Where practical, code and circuits are tested on physical hardware or in the SolderHub Simulator. A page is not described as physically tested unless that test has actually been performed. Simulation is useful for exploring supported behavior, but it cannot prove that a physical circuit is electrically safe or will behave identically.

Some articles are research-led and may not include a complete physical build test. In those cases, we aim to distinguish documented specifications, expected behavior, and practical test results clearly.

Independence and commercial relationships

Editorial decisions are made for usefulness and technical relevance. A brand may provide a product sample, loan equipment, pay for a campaign, or participate in another collaboration. Those relationships do not guarantee a positive review or control our technical conclusions.

Material relationships are disclosed on the relevant page or media. Read our Sponsorship & Disclosure Policy and Brand Partnerships page for details.

Updates and corrections

Electronics information can change as boards, datasheets, firmware, and libraries evolve. We update pages when we identify a material error or a meaningful change. If you find an issue, please use the Corrections Policy or contact [email protected] with the page URL and supporting details.

Authorship

SolderHub is founded and edited by Shantanu Kumar Mohanty. Community contributions are credited to their contributors where applicable and are reviewed before publication. Publication does not mean every third-party project has been independently reproduced by SolderHub.

Our standard

  • Prefer primary technical documentation over unsupported claims.
  • Identify important hardware, voltage, and compatibility differences.
  • Explain simulator limitations and avoid presenting simulated results as physical test results.
  • Disclose relevant commercial relationships clearly.
  • Correct material errors when they are confirmed.
