We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or government ID numbers) unless you voluntarily include them in a submission, which we discourage.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your email for third-party advertising without your explicit consent.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (such as the EEA, UK, or under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), we rely on:
- Contract — Processing necessary to provide the Service you requested
- Legitimate interests — Security, analytics, product improvement, and fraud prevention, balanced against your rights
- Consent — Newsletter emails and non-essential cookies where required
- Legal obligation — When law requires retention or disclosure
6. How we share information
We may share information in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers — Hosting (e.g. Vercel), analytics, email delivery, and infrastructure partners who process data on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.
- Embedded partners — When you open a Wokwi lab or similar embed, that provider may receive technical data according to their own policy.
- Public content — Projects you publish may display your chosen author name and materials to all visitors.
- Legal & safety — When required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers — In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continued protection of your data.
7. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data in countries other than India, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
8. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential operation — Session management, authentication, and security
- Preferences — Theme (light/dark) and display settings
- Analytics — Aggregated visit metrics via Vercel Analytics to understand how the Service is used
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may limit certain features. Where local law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will request it before enabling those technologies.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Account data — Until you delete your account, plus a short backup window
- Server logs — Typically up to 90 days unless needed for security investigations
- Support emails — Up to 24 months unless you request earlier deletion
- Published projects — May remain after account deletion if licensed for community use; contact us to remove specific content
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and hashed credentials — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@circuithub.com immediately.
11. Children
Circuit Hub is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@circuithub.com and we will delete it promptly.
