Sponsorship & Disclosure Policy
Clear disclosure helps readers understand when a brand or commercial relationship is connected to SolderHub content.
Product samples and gifted items
A company may send SolderHub a product for evaluation, demonstration, or educational coverage. We identify relevant gifted or provided products in the article, project, or video. Receiving a sample does not automatically mean that the company is a formal SolderHub partner, and it does not guarantee coverage or a positive opinion.
Loaned equipment
If a product is loaned rather than gifted, we disclose that relationship where the product is discussed. We aim to make clear whether an item was purchased, provided to keep, or temporarily loaned when that distinction is relevant.
Paid sponsorships
If a brand pays for an article, video, placement, campaign, or other promotional work, the content will be clearly identified as sponsored or paid promotion. The scope of the sponsorship does not give the sponsor the right to require an undisclosed endorsement or dictate independent technical conclusions.
Affiliate links
If SolderHub uses affiliate links, we will identify them near the relevant links or in a clear disclosure on that page. An affiliate commission may be earned if a reader makes a qualifying purchase, at no additional cost to the reader. We do not claim an affiliate relationship where none exists.
Editorial independence
Our aim is to recommend or feature products based on relevance to the project and audience. Product access, sponsorship, or a brand relationship does not guarantee a favorable review. We may describe limitations, compatibility issues, or unsuccessful tests when they are relevant.
Where disclosures appear
Disclosures are placed on or near the relevant article, project, video, or promotional material so readers do not need to search for them. Our Brand Partnerships page lists confirmed collaborations only where public disclosure is appropriate and permission has been obtained.
Questions
If you believe a disclosure is missing or unclear, email [email protected] with the content URL and details. See also our Editorial Policy.
Disclosure principles
- Do not describe a gifted sample as a paid sponsorship.
- Do not describe a sample exchange as a formal partnership unless it has been agreed.
- Disclose paid, gifted, loaned, and affiliate relationships accurately.
- Keep technical conclusions independent and explain meaningful limitations.
